And I am so lucky that I had time to update the shop: here's to writing item descriptions in advance!!
The reason for the late start?
My checking account got hacked into! When it comes to your debit card being used online versus being secret swiped when you hand it to a waiter or oil lube clerk, who knows where it goes amiss?
All I know is this: the person who stole it used 300.00 of my money for charity: they donated in to a Mitzvah Center in Hawaii....
I don't know why, but this has sent me into peals of laughter all day; like, real mirth, no rancor!! It's so ironic: a mitzvah is a good deed, and they donated using a stolen card!
They also bought themselves a brand new Norton Anti-Virus software pack
and attempted to go on a Harrod's spree...
Ah, modern thievery....

Allison

oh wow! tragi-comedy that can't be scripted.
Best of luck getting things sorted out :)
I knew someone once who embezzled to pay for a psychotherapist....:)....
good giggle, for sure!
It's really intriguing to imagine what that person was thinking while going about his/her theft, donation, and purchases. Hope you got it all cleared up without much trouble.
My husband's credit card # was stolen last year and the thief ordered $500 worth of Victoria's Secret merchandise. That was funny in a different way.
It happened to us too Allison, someone flew to the Philippines on our card.
Charity, thats a new one! "I'll give from you"...strange.

I just guffawed my tea out my nose!
ha that made me giggle!
When my card number got stolen they just bought a bunch of bug repellents from amazon. :o)
Too too funny! xx
Mine was hacked when I made online camping reservations..the theif purchased self help books and books to save your marriage..they were delivered to my house the SAME DAY my papers came stating my divorce was final..HAHAH...needless to say, I used the books to start the campfire....
Ahhhhhhhhhh Allison, I guess this one was a tad bit smarty pants, it is less suspicious for credit card companies if they see donations on your credit rather than sudden crazy buys of luxurious things!:)Hope your bank is giving your money back dear! XOXO Feri
Ladies, you are killing me softly with your stories of stolen account info: oh, I am so glad it happens to everyone, and with humor, to boot!!
