Old Bull Elephant Protector: Enamel Graphite and Watercolor on Copper

In Hand

The first Protector is making his journey into being:

A percentage of the proceeds from each sale will go toward an organization dedicated to the well-being
and preservation of that species... I am so looking forward to donating.

I have seven animals in mind to honor.

I am also thrilled to be able to translate my greatest wishes
into physical, thanks to the power of enamel

and the wonder of a fantastic babysitter who moves me closer to my work twice a week.

welcome, Fierce One.

I love your new work with enamel, watercolor and graphite. It's beautiful. How do you get the graphite to stick to the smooth surface of enamel? Do you bake your graphite and watercolor onto the enamel? I'm a watercolor artist who works on 100% cotton cold press paper. I love the 300 lb. paper. I love how I can move the watercolor around and let it do it's happy accidents. But I would think that the pigment would change or burn if you fired it. Does it?
P.S. Your baby is so precious. I'm happy for you.
