Tough Tough Stuff

Today was a hard day, full of tears and surrender and difficult situations that had no happy resolution: sometimes saying no to something means you may get a verbal smackdown.
I feel like I have the bruises to prove it right now.

BUT

The sun is shining and I have bubbles, inspired to pick some up by my friend Michele from across the sea:
I have the support and love of my amazing family, husband and friends...

aaaaand a few Fleur de Sel cupcakes from Loves Cupcakes downtown.
Bubble bubble
nibble nibble....

There. Now that feels a bit better.

Wow, I can't remember the last time I blew bubbles - just seeing that brought a big smile to my face.
Hang in their Allison, your strength and ability to keep your chin up always inspires me.
So cheers for bubbles and cupcakes...
and BIG hugs
Jaime

I so enjoyed our phone conversation yesterday. You're a strength and a force, and the most benevolent one I know at that.

Try not to doubt your decisions, especially when they are centered around taking care of yourself and your business. When push comes to shove, the one who always knows best is you.

xoxoxoxo always,

we do bubble therapy on a weekly basis around here, we do!.....little soap, a little breath...wash away the negativity, and send it out to the universe to dissipate in a pretty, shiny , package!

Aw, I've been there--hope things have righted themselves by now. Do tell about the fleur de sel cupcakes!

No is a hard word to say, and it can be an even harder word to hear.

I do find, like you have discovered, bubbles make it all better. Ditto for ice cream, margaritas, live bands, and giggles.

Wishing you the best as you settle into your new home.

oh:( I'm so sorry you went through the tough times. I've never thought to get bubbles to cheer up. What a "little things" great idea!

I'm sorry for the tough time! Sometimes it's easy to forget ourselves in our need to make others happy. So be proud that you are putting yourself first. That is important and good decision.

Oh bubbles! Such magical healing things! I've used them with therapy clients and they do wonders- something about deep, careful breathing- rainbows- and ephemeral existence I think.

Sorry to hear that things are hard, but, like others have said, your ability to find beauty and healing in the midst of such things are a blessing that you bring to this world. (You remind me to follow suit!)
