Come Away With Me

To the Green Green Hills between Petaluma and Point Reyes...
we'll make new friends
with four legs...

Eat delicious goodies at The Bovine Bakery....
I recommend the Chocolate Cherry Almond Cookie!

We'll get some good cheese at the Cowgirl Creamery, where they give samples with great generosity: if it were wine, we'd get drunk.

I for one will try not to get too sentimental about these undulating green expanses but when the date of departure gets near I can promise tears and plenty of them.
I have never been so enamored with a place before...

Let's drive and stop by a wide cow pasture: we'll find many Red Wing Blackbirds willing to give us a free recital - they make beautiful music!!

There'll be Oak Trees for shade....

...And a locally grown, baked and harvested lunch to come home to: Meyer Lemon Rosemary bread from Della Fattoria, local organic apples, Cowgirl cheese, Bovine cookies, garden rosemary, Sonoma County wine....

And enough love to wrap you tight for the rest of your days.

So come on over:
we'll find bliss in this sacred place
north of the Golden Gate.

Oh, dear Emmy...I wish you could see endless amounts of it...unfortunately we're leaving the area to move to San Jose, which is both excellent and super sad....
Life is a bittersweet endeavor :)

OMG...this looks lovely! I would be sad too to part with such a place but fortunately you are not going far. And who is the precious furry dude giving nuzzles?

Oh it is so lovely....

Jessi - I will slice of a big hunka cheese for you :)

MLJ: That little furry one is Janey, our feral brown tabby - she used to not even come out from under the furniture and now she is a lap cat deluxe :)

Ahhhh, that bread and cheese looks to die for. I just finished dinner, but I'd still have room for that.

Although I love my country, I so wish I was an American at times so that I could re-locate somewhere like this.

Oh my goodness what a beautiful place to live!! I would get lost in all that green. I can see why you love it so much there. My husband and I should take a drive over that direction to check out what we've been missing.

What a lovely day you had! Thank you for sharing it with me. :)

PS. San Jose is just minutes from me :) Trust me, when I get a little city fever, I just head on over to the ocean or up to the redwoods and savor every moment I can of nature's splendor. :)

Change is hard, but it is a wonderful gift for you to be able to explore and fall in love with places you may not have otherwise discovered. Those green rolling hills will always be there for you to visit. The black bird will still sing. Wishing you the best in your new home, look forward to seeing all you have to discover there.
