Ummmm....

Please allow me to set the scene:

I am in the breakfast nook, where I have been the majority of the day responding to emails and ordering supplies

when suddenly I hear loud voices.

Thinking this is happening outside, I blithely go about my business.
The talking continues, congenial and intelligent
and I realize:

that's a lot like NPR
and so I walk through Anthony's Man Cave Room
and open my studio door.

Mind you, I have not been in there all day.
The
stereo
is

ON!!!!!

Suddenly and loudly ON!!

No human hand touched its dials beeps or bops.

Thoughts?

The spirits of the past are coming to show their approval of your new endeavor?

Or for a less supernatural reason does the stereo have some sort of alarm function?

It's not uncommon for ghosts to like NPR. In fact it's a little known fact that most people die of old age while listening to shows like Car Talk, Whad' ya Know, and Morning edition. '-)

Hey do you get Whad'ya know out there? Once I was an impromptu guest that Michael called up from the audience when he heard I worked for a company that makes pom pons.

Jillian: I WISH!!!! :)

Michele: No alarm function - perhaps this ghost wants a clutch or a necklace??

Dave: I would love to hear that audio, sir!!!! :)

Don't start worrying until your mercury cavities start tuning in. Then, you really have voices in your head. Probably just a power surge that jolted the radio...or, could be the ghost of Cabachons Past, signaling its approval of your latest endeavor to preserve historical cabachons. If the ghost of Cabachons Past were not happy, I am sure it would not have tuned to NPR but to the loony Limbaugh...now that's a thought to sour a good cup of joe.

Well all I can say is better than the microwave or worse yet, the radio tuning into some Miley Cyrus song!

The cat needed some morning news?

Cats. I have one that turns on the teevee. With the remote. And watches it!

It is the jewel fairies! They have come to sprinkle the inspiration dust and bless your studio!

Of course they had to be a little naughty and play with your radio :)

Diane: I shudder to think of my ghosties playing Rush Limbaugh!!! Ack!

Jentwo: ZOINKS!!!! :)

MLJ:I think you may be right!

Kerin: I expect my ghosts to at least be civilized ;)

Umber: phew!!! Good point :)

Sierra & airchick: no cats allowed in the studio: the plot thickens!!!

Jaune: if I hadn't gotten so freaked out and turned off the radio I'd have at least known what they were listening to!! :)
