As the day has progressed I have felt more than anything like following Janey's example:
It is chilly and wet again but goodness knows it was warm and lovely in my studio in the glow of the torch. My Little torch.
I made a custom order:
And I made an opal ring: I have been wanting to use this opal for the longest time but I knew the ring it would make would be pricey and in this economy yadda yadaa blah... what's the point of having a spectacular stone to just sit and stare at it every other day? It belonged in the setting of a flower of sorts, as my world is blossoming I wish to reflect that in a luxurious and unafraid way.
It is a stunner and a big stone for an opal: a koroit opal from Australia with blue, green, purple and complex threads of matrix in about four different colors.
I am going to step out into the gloom and get some coffee ( decaf! ) and write some at the most special of cafes - when I finish I will list the opal this evening.
It is a size 6.5
It is pure knockout stone beauty.

Wow, that amethyst turned out to be quite a stunner (not that I had any doubts!). And I have never seen opal like that. You have a magical way of bringing out the beauty in all the stones you touch!
Thank you, dear Elaine - and you have a way of bringing out the sun on a rainy day: when I started reading your comment the sun literally came out!!
:)
Both rings are beautiful.
Those are both knockouts!
