Happiest of Birthdays, Paragon of Beauty

Please do yourself a huge favor and listen to all of Martin Luther King's speeches....
he was a champion of the poor
a leader of so many people striving to attain the rights they were denied by those who feared their beauty and power
and an Angel on earth.

Our generation should be so lucky to know such goodness.

(technically his birthday was Saturday, but today we as a nation celebrate it)

One of my favourites:

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that".
~Martin Luther King, Jr.

OMG Allison ♥♥♥♥♥
I go to this when I need inspiration
when I need to cry healing tears...
because I always cry when I listen to this
oh how I love it
the passion
the true
the rawness of it all
and you know he knew his time was coming to an end
he knew he had been betrayed, sold out, turned over by one of his own, and yet this eloquent speech is his response....what a man...what a heart

Thanks for this today♥

WOW, Allison, I've never heard Dr. King called a "paragon of beauty" before...and find your saying this about him and what he did for so many people so right. I still get goosebumps when I hear his great speeches.
