As most of my work revolves around the actual rare and exceptional stone set in a piece, I will be trying out a new system for custom orders, since I am too busy in most cases to take them at will.

I believe there is a perfect, soul stirring stone out there for everyone and I believe part of my own journey is helping each person find their perfect match.
Once you've secured your stone we will discuss design and price points for various pieces: ring, necklace, etc.

I was reading over your amazing and helpful comments and wanted to let you know something fundamental: A ring band cannot be attached after a stone is set; it is a sad truth as it would make everything easier!
The heat being used is in the thousands of degrees for soldering and that would crack a stone into ten million pieces. In the meantime, I will try out this newfangled system and see if it creates the sense of purpose and excitement in my amazing patrons as it does in my heart!
Stay tuned next Wednesday for two amazing stones: I will keep at least one per week very affordable, but I also want to make sure some of the real barn burners are getting their due, too!

Chiming in a bit late here--just to say this sounds like a great idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes!

I had often wondered about the possibility of attaching a band after the fact. Hmmm. Makes sense now. I say, great; try out the idea and see how it is received. But most importantly, is it working for YOU. Someone mentioned in the last post about your own creativity, and I concur. I only want a custom piece because I already know what magic you are capable of. And make sure to think about how much work this adds, and charge appropriately.
